My dad served in the Army. He passed away in 2015 and recieved a military funeral. It was a crisp Leap Year Day which made the 3 gun salute sharp and sobering. I knew at that moment I wanted to honor my dad, my family, and my friends who have served or are currently serving, by giving back the support they have given to their country.

My husband and I have lived in Lubbock for the last 15 years. Lubbock is his hometown and I’m from that little city to the north, Amarillo. Not only am I from Amarillo, my degree is from the University of Texas at Austin! But,I’ve grown to love Texas Tech …. except when they play the Longhorns!
My professional career has been in nonprofit development. I began my career working for Public Television at Amarillo College as membership and pledge drive coordinator and ended my professional career as a grant writer, now as an independent grant writer.
I have served on the board of directors for the Lubbock Community Theater (for seven years) and St. Benedict’s Chapel (for six years) and look forward to the work of the Noxbox board! The need is great. It will be wonderful to see the efforts come to fruition and to know we are helping so many that truly need help and are often forgotten.
